The Phoenix City Council has decided to ram through a food tax without a vote. Why? One simple reason, because they believe you can't do anything about it. Perhaps they consider you to stupid or ignorant to even notice $200 a year in new food taxes. Now is the time to get active with your friends.
This is a reminder that there will be a Don't Tax Our Food meeting today, Tuesday 3/2, at 6:30 PM at Jim's Sign-A-Rama shop on the southeast corner of SR51 and Shea Blvd. If you've been gathering signatures this will be your last chance to get them turned in.
The primary purpose of the meeting will be to make plans for our work going forward on the initiative.

Crossroads of the West Gun Show
When: Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Fishing and Outdoor Expo
When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Thanks for the help of all of you who have been gathering signatures on petitions. Now it's time to start collecting those petitions. We'd like to get them all collected by the end of this coming weekend since they have to be tabulated and turned in to the city elections department early next week.
